The Bow Stance is designed for sweeping, avoiding attacks and brushing off in fighting techniques.
In this stance, you can keep aware when unsure about your surroundings, such as moving in the dark or when surrounded by several opponents. The extended hands act as warning signals for oncoming attacks to allow you to perform movements of defense according to the opponents position. This stance is a receiving stance and usually utilizes evasiveness and feelings of sensitivity.
How to perform the Low Defensive Stance
Stand Slightly wider then shoulder width apart
Feet are turned out and an angle
Knees are slightly bent
Extend the arms outward and use the fingers like antennae s to feel and touch
Applications:
Adapts the element of wind. Physically - Moving out of the way of an attack - Mentally - Open focus/Passionate/sensitive
